Construction Update

Over three years of planning, hard work, and commitment by alumni and undergrads alike is coming to fruition as the Fall semester begins with Alpha Phi Zeta moving into it's new home! The existing structure was gutted to only the concrete and brick walls with a complete renovation to the most modern standards of fire and life safety. Our new addition nearly doubles our total living space to nearly 16,000 square feet! One University official recently told us that our house has the "best living facilities for any student on campus." The new house boasts 29 private dorm rooms, state of the art commercial kitchen facilities to serve over 40,000 meals a year, a long-awaited party room, laundry facilities, and a large courtyard surrounded by a six foot brick wall. You'll want to tour the house and your best chance to do that comes during our House Dedication Party on September 6th. Beginning four hours prior to the Alabama-Tulane game, we'll be serving a delicious buffet meal, refreshments, and feature live entertainment for the very first band party in our new party room. Make plans to be there for the largest gathering of alumni and friends in Alpha Phi Zeta history!

Capital Campaign Update

A Tradition of Excellence: Honoring Our Past, Ensuring Our Future Campaign

Never in the history of our chapter have so many alumni stepped up to become involved in our active chapter. To date over 160 of our Brothers have made a financial commitment that will set the stage for Alpha Phi Zeta to have facilities second to none! While we currently have commitments totaling just over $1.08 Million, we want to reach a goal of $1.5 Million before the end of 2008. Most alumni find that their donations are tax-deductible as the checks are written to the University of Alabama and can be paid over five years. Every donor who contributes $1000 or more will have their name permanently cast on a large plaque honoring all of our donors. For those that give commit to $2500 or more by September 6th, their name will be entered into a drawing for a seven night stay at a private beachfront four bedroom Cancun Villa during the week of August 15, 2009, donated by one of our great alumni. Get on board- this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to preserve and ensure our legacy for years to come.
